We are planning a party – and YOU are invited!

Food, games, bands, and educational programs await (as we wait) all through Alliance on Eclipse Weekend prior to the eclipse on Monday.

All the Alliance Attractions will be open for the weekend for your enjoyment and to truly experience Alliance, VisitAlliance.com/attractions

Friday, August 18th through Sunday, August 20th at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center, 1450 Box Butte Avenue. Details TBD
Dr. Martina Arndt, Astronomer, Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Solar Sherpas and their research on the corona, visible only during the solar eclipse.

Harun Mehmehinovic, co-director of the SkyGlow Project, a study of the effects of light pollution
Dr. Peggy Norris, Education and Outreach Deputy Director at Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead, SD on the NASA Eclipse Ballooning Project.

Greenhouse in the Snow 7 1/2 miles north on Hwy 87 growing tropical and subtropical plants Tours: 9am-7pm
Sky View RC Club: 9am-3pm Remote Control airplanes, drones, and helicopters fly-in. Kansas St. south on CR 60 1/2 mile (2550 CR 60)
Dobby’s Frontier Town: Open 10-6 every day with  concessions in the Saloon.

Sunday, August 20th:
Morning non-denominational Church services in Central Park
Free Educational and Family Friendly programs, International Welcome Center, as well as vendors and entertainment on the bricks in downtown Alliance.

Monday, ECLIPSE DAY:
Get up early, grab your chair, eclipse glasses (available from the Chamber), sunscreen, pack your cooler with plenty of water and snacks, and get in place to “Wait for the Sun to Go Dark” at one of our viewing sites for the ECLIPSE!
